The oldest Chenin Blanc vines on the estate, some of which are over 90 years old. The grapes are vinified in direct press, on lees in barrels for two years.
After fifteen years spent in Paris in his wine bistro, the Restaurant L'Ange Vin, Jean-Pierre Robinot, passionate about natural wines, returned to his native village of Chahaignes, a small town in the Sarthe region, located between Le Mans and Tours. He acquired some 10 hectares of land in the Coteaux du Loir appellation on which he gradually planted a few hectares of vines. Fervent defender of organic agriculture, reasoned yields and natural vinification, Jean-Pierre shapes Chenin Blanc like no one else, favoring slow presses and long maturation.
