Of Belgian origin, Frank Cornelissen, passionate about wine and oenology, left his native country in the early 2000s to settle in Sicily, on the slopes of Mount Etna. He crafted a first vintage in 2001, in the village of Solichiata, magnifying the local grape varieties such as Nerello Mascalese, Capuccio or Grecanico, Francisi or Minnella Bianca and Nera, some varieties having almost disappeared from the local landscape... The vines are located between 600 and almost 1,000 meters above sea level, mostly ungrafted and treated as naturally as possible, as is the winemaking.
